Joseph V. Rizzi

Joseph V.Rizzi is now with MacroStrategies LLC focusing on financial services and publishing  (see macrostrategiesllc).  He is also an instructor at Chicago area schools including Loyola and DePaul.  Previously Joe was Senior Investment Strategist for CapGen Financial, a private equity firm focusing on financial institutions.  


Joe has over 25 years of banking experience.  He started his banking career at ABN AMRO becoming an executive vice president both in the U.S. and Holland in the areas of strategic and acquisition analysis, risk management, structured finance, securitization, acquisition finance and asset liability management.  He was responsible for two multibillion dollar collateralized loan obligations and the $20B plus conduit programs.  He also implemented ABN AMBRO’s enterprise risk management program.  

The author of numerous articles on lending, risk management, financial accounting, mergers and acquisitions and is a regular contributor to the American Banker newspaper.  He is also a frequent lecturer to academic and professional groups.  He taught a Mergers and Acquisitions course at Notre Dame’s Mendoza School of Business.  He holds a BA degree (summa cum laude) from DePaul University, a MBA from University of Chicago, and a JD degree from Notre Dame University Law School (magna cum laude).  See JoeRizzi.com for a complete list of publications and presentations.
